Some concerts stay with you long after the lights come up. Suede's performance at Massey Hall in Toronto on November 25, 2022, was definitely one of those nights.
I managed to score a last-minute front-row ticket, which turned out to be one of the best concert decisions I've ever made.
Brett Anderson is an incredible frontman, and watching him work the room from just a few feet away was something else. Throughout the show, he made his way into the audience, singing directly to fans and creating moments that felt genuinely personal.
At one point, Brett came right over to me, put his arm around me, and continued singing. Surreal doesn't even begin to describe it!
Having my camera with me made the night even more special. I captured so many moments of Brett interacting with fans, from the excitement on their faces to the energy he brought into the crowd.
After more than 20 years of photographing live music, it's experiences like this that remind me why I love it so much.
An unforgettable night with Suede at one of Toronto's most iconic venues.
