Green Day brought the Revolution Radio Tour to FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton, Ontario on March 20, 2017, with Against Me! opening the show.

Shot for Aesthetic Magazine, this gallery captures Green Day in full arena mode: loud, theatrical, funny, chaotic, and completely built around crowd connection.

The Hamilton set opened with “Know Your Enemy” after the recorded intro of “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Blitzkrieg Bop,” and “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.” The setlist moved through “Bang Bang,” “Revolution Radio,” “Holiday,” “Letterbomb,” “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “Longview,” “Youngblood,” “Welcome to Paradise,” “Basket Case,” “She,” “King for a Day,” “Still Breathing,” “Forever Now,” “American Idiot,” “Jesus of Suburbia,” “Ordinary World,” and “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).”

There is something very specific about photographing Green Day. The show is chaos, but it is controlled chaos: Billie Joe Armstrong pulling the room into every chorus, Mike Dirnt driving the songs forward, and Tré Cool making the whole thing feel both massive and loose at the same time.

This post includes a small preview from the full Green Day Hamilton gallery.
