Green Day brought the Revolution Radio Tour to Budweiser Stage in Toronto on August 18, 2017, with Catfish and the Bottlemen opening the show.

Shot for Aesthetic Magazine, this gallery captures Green Day in full summer amphitheatre mode: loud, theatrical, funny, explosive, and completely locked in with the crowd.

For fans looking for Green Day photos from Toronto, this gallery features Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tré Cool during one of the band’s 2017 Ontario stops. The show had that perfect late-summer Budweiser Stage energy, with a crowd that was ready for every chorus before the band even hit it.

The Toronto set opened with “Know Your Enemy” after the recorded intro of “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Blitzkrieg Bop,” and “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.” The setlist moved through “Bang Bang,” “Revolution Radio,” “Holiday,” “Letterbomb,” “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “Longview,” “Youngblood,” “Welcome to Paradise,” “Basket Case,” “She,” “King for a Day,” “Still Breathing,” “Forever Now,” “American Idiot,” “Jesus of Suburbia,” “Ordinary World,” and “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).”

There is something very specific about photographing Green Day. The show is chaos, but it is controlled chaos: Billie Joe Armstrong pulling the room into every chorus, Mike Dirnt driving the songs forward, and Tré Cool making the whole thing feel both massive and loose at the same time.

Earlier that same year, Green Day brought the Revolution Radio Tour to FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton. That gallery is also available in The Vault:
